Georgia Cockerham lives on the southern Oregon coast with husband, Bruce Cockerham. She is an Active member of
Mystery Writers of America, and a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon. Georgia is mother to two sons. She has two step-daughters
and seven wonderful grandchildren. She holds a BA degree in Business Management from Saint Mary's College, Moraga
and is a retired financial advisor and insurance broker.
Bruce is Georgia's technical consultant for the law-enforcement references in her murder mysteries. He is a retired police captain
with thirty years' experience in law enforcement. Bruce has worked in patrol, traffic, detectives, SWAT, administration and as an
academy instructor. He trained with the FBI as a counter sniper, and is a graduate of both the California Command College and
the FBI National Academy. Bruce currently volunteers as a civil-enforcement deputy for the Curry County Sheriff's Office.
I have always enjoyed a great murder mystery, and once I started writing about Patty O'Toole and Rick
Starker I couldn't let them go. Hence, Murder On The Oregon Coast, Murder On The Wind, Murder Replete...for now,
Murder Takes All, Murder at Macklyn Cove, and my sixth book in the series, Murder at Ferry Creek.
I have been honored, due to the success of my writing, to be one of the judges for the 2023 Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Award
competition. I will be attending the 2024 Killer Nashville's International Writer's Conference in Tennessee.
While signing books at the 2023 Oregon Cheese Festival, I was reminded of another honor bestowed upon me a few years ago
following publication of Murder Replete....for now. My first three books were featured in the Who's Who/What's What section of
Southern Oregon magazine.
When not writing, I enjoy time spent with family and friends. I believe in supporting one's community and do so as a volunteer for the
Curry County Sheriff's Office, and serving as a board director for Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative.
The Oregon coast is filled with scenery that awakens my creative soul, and it's the rhythmic ebb and flow of the sea that inspires me.
The people I've met and continue to meet throughout my journey provide enrichment to my creativity and to my life.
